Being a member of the Fedora Design Team, we have common ways of communicating and have to keep true to the Fedora Style Guide, but each designer has their own creative process. Here's mine!
Creative Process: Update Fedora Logic Model Template (Design Team ticket #432)
Research/ Notes
This is where I look at the ticket and pull important information from that as well as from other sources for inspiration. For this infographic, I was given a rough sketch of what the concept was intended to be so I pulled that information into a LibreOffice page for easier access

Sketching
Here, I use my notes and new-found knowledge on my project to make a sketch for myself to use a basis for the design and layout. It's here that I will start to consider readability and visual hierarchy. This was a my (very) rough sketch for this infographic.

Vector Sketching/ Layout
I typically start by blocking out my Inkscape document to make sure that my intended layout will work, at least enough for a base to start designing on. Once the layout is working, I add in text and titles.

Designing
Now that the layout works and the text is in place, I can actually start adding artistic elements like graphics, font choice (Comfortaa, Montserrat are preferred Fedora fonts), color, gradients, strokes, and more.

Submission
Once a design feels comfortable enough for me to share and recieve feedback on, I submit the design and (usually) a small description back to the design ticket to be reviewed by the rest of the Design Team. Typically there are multiple iterations and versions that I design as time progresses so most tickets have many attachments.
